ABOUT MRS. SCHOUDEL

I graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (K-3) in 1998. At that time, I also received my Early Childhood Special Education Approval. In 2001, I received my Gifted Education Certificate. Since then, I received a Masters degree at the University of Illinois with an emphasis on literacy in 2004. I continue to take classes and attend workshops, as I believe it is really important to stay informed in regards to education. I have 17 wonderful years of teaching kindergarten at Royal.

My husband and I live in Mahomet. We have two children. We have a 13 year old son named Jacob and a 9 year old named Tyler. They are our pride and joy. We really enjoy spending time with them. It has been so much fun watching them grow. We will continue to enjoy watching this process, as it seems they grow up so fast. They definitely keep us busy. My husband works for the University of Illinois as a computer software engineer. We enjoy traveling together. However, this has slowed down since our family has been growing. We have been to Europe, the Bahamas, Hawaii, and other places in the United States. We are big Illini fans and try to make it to some of the games.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, decorating our house, watching movies, and shopping. I also enjoy visiting with my family and friends. I especially enjoy spending time with Jake and Tyler. However, I also enjoy being an aunt as well to my nieces and nephews.
